As the curtain closes after tonight's performance, GNOP stands in stand in awe of the stellar actors and team who have made "Paint Night" by Carey Crim so special for our community. From our humble beginnings at the read-through in Janet's living room to our two closing shows, each woman stepped up, stepped forward, and stepped out of her comfort zone to deliver a tour de force. We are so deeply moved every time they are on stage, and we thank each of you for all you brought to Girls Nite Out Productions on this special 15th year anniversary. Well, now we're getting really close to Opening Night! To conclude our romp through the amazing cast of Carey Crim's wonderful "Paint Night" is the ever-enthusiastic and talented Mary Carol Maganzini, in the role of art studio manager Vera. As she says of herself: "Mary Carol is thrilled to be in her first production with GNOP. Vermont Public listeners may recognize her voice from her being on the radio for the last several years. Previous roles include Titania and Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Summer Shakespeare Festival of DC, Effy in Spitfire Grill, Miss Tweed in Something’s Afoot, and Lady Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer at St. Michael’s Playhouse. Also, Miss Fancy in Sly Fox, Her Ladyship in The Dresser and Meg in The Birthday Party” with Vermont Repertory Theatre. Next up in our cavalcade of wonderful actors in Girls Nite Out's upcoming Carey Crim play, "Paint Night," is the delightfully-talented Carly Bennett in the role of Bree, daughter of Fern. In her own words,
"When people in her neighborhood see Carly walking around talking to herself - or her dog? - she is rehearsing her lines. Carly hopes everyone in the audience is able to laugh and relate to someone or some moment in this incredible show. She would like to thank her husband, Geoff, and their children (Lucille, Corwyn, and Oliver) for their support. She has loved working with this group of awesome women and it is a joy to be in another Girls Nite Out production. Previously, she appeared in shows by local playwrights Shoshannah Boray and Lesley Becker, and with ECP, Shelburne Players, Chandler Pride Festival, and the Peace & Justice Center."

Opening Night--Exactly one week from tomorrow, people! Next up in the "Paint Night" gallery of awesomeness, Vermont's very own Southern Belle, Claire Giroux-Williams, and here's what she has to say about herself: "A southern transplant, Claire moved to Vermont 18 years ago. As the former Co-Owner of the Burlington Paint and Sip Studio, she is delighted to be part of bringing the magic of a “paint night” to the stage in her first show with Girls Nite Out Productions. She enjoyed being a part of the Shelburne Players productions of "Calendar Girls" and "The Dixie Swim Club." She first found the joy of acting in college, and then with a local community theatre prior to moving to Vermont. She earned her BA in Studio Art at Columbia College of South Carolina, and a MS at Western Illinois University in College Student Personnel. Claire lives in South Burlington with her wife Cori, and two dogs, Clementine and Clifford." Here we are, 1.5 weeks from Opening Night! Who could possibly be up next but the multi-talented Ashley Snow, hardly a newcomer to the stage! Performing the role of Gwen, here she is in her own words: "Ashley is thrilled to be in her first GNOP production! A classically-trained vocalist and graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy, Ashley holds a MS in Gerontology and a BA in Integrated Music & Aging Studies with a music minor. Most recently, Ashley was the Curator/Narrator for the Vermont Symphony Orchestra’s 90th anniversary program: Béla Fleck and American Excellence. Ashley's passion for music and community theater has earned her roles with several Vermont companies, including Williston Community Theater, Middlebury Acting Company and Lyric Theatre. A dementia care specialist/Activities Coordinator at the UVM Medical Center by day, Ashley would like to thank her family, friends, her fiancé, and the fabulous production cast and crew!" Well, it's Sunday, and that means another sneak peek at the fabulous cast of Carey Crim's wonderful play "Paint Night," brought to you by GNOP and opening Nov. 7th

Next up in the cast hit parade is the glorious Wendi Stein who plays Miriam in our play. Here's what she has say about herself:
"While she is a newbie to GNOP, you may have seen Wendi in shows with Middlebury Acting Company, Lost Nation Theater, Vermont Stage Company, and other under-the-radar shows. As the founder and co-director of Theatre Kavanah (on hiatus) she produced and directed several productions. She’s been part of the impactful NGO, Population Media Center, which uses storytelling to promote positive change in the world. Thanks to Jen and Janet for including her as part of this 15th anniversary show! As always, she is grateful for her loving and supportive family Brian, Charlie, Sophie and their sweeties. Special thanks to Joy."
