Meet Julius! ❤️ Your next best friend comes in a smaller, slightly shepherd-shaped package!

Julius is a 7-year-old gentleman with a whole lot of sweetness packed into his little body. He’s potty trained, has done well being left home alone, and is pretty great at the whole living-in-a-house thing. He also gets along well with other dogs and has even shared his home (and his sleeping space!) with a cat who was his very best friend. 🐱❤️

Julius can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but bring out the treats and you’ll quickly discover the sweet soul underneath. He just needs a moment to warm up and realize you’re a friend.

He’d prefer a home without little kids, where life can be a little quieter and he can settle into his happy place.

Shelter life has been a pretty jarring experience for this little guy, and honestly, we think he’s had quite enough of it. He’s ready for soft beds, familiar faces, cozy routines, and someone to call his own.

Seven years old, house-trained, cat-approved, and full of love. Julius isn’t asking for much. Just a home. And maybe a few snacks. Okay, definitely a few snacks. ❤️

🐾 Meet Duke! Your introverted bestie with a playful side! 💙

Duke is a one-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix looking for a fresh start after his human lost their housing. Life has dealt him a little plot twist, but this handsome boy is ready to find a person (or people!) who will love him for the special guy he is.

Duke is a bit of an introvert, thank you very much. 😉 He prefers quality time with his inner circle over mingling with strangers at the dog park. He can be suspicious of new people at first, but give him a little time, let him set the pace, and sprinkle in some play, and you’ll soon discover the sweet, silly, smart, and affectionate pup hiding beneath that cautious exterior.

🎾 His hobbies include: playing ball, showing off his smarts, and spending time with his favorite people. One small disclaimer: Duke enjoys chasing the ball, but bringing it back is apparently an optional feature. I mean, does he look like a retriever? 😂

🐶 Dog friends? Duke has lived with another dog and could enjoy a canine companion who understands the importance of good communication, personal space, and taking breaks. Overwhelming him with nonstop play isn’t his idea of a good time. He’s looking for a friend who respects his boundaries and knows that even the best friendships need a little breathing room.

🏡 His dream home: A calmer environment where he can decompress, build trust, and enjoy life without too much chaos. We don’t have a history of Duke living with cats or children, but given his preference for a slower pace and predictable interactions, a home without the hustle and bustle of young kids may be the best fit.

Duke isn’t looking for a crowd. He’s looking for his people — the ones who will give him time to feel safe, respect his space, toss a ball (retrieval not guaranteed), and appreciate the joy of being chosen by a dog who doesn’t hand out his trust to just anyone.

Give this boy a little patience, a lot of love, and the chance to get to know you on his terms, and you just might become his favorite human. 💙🐾

🐾Besties of the week!🐾

💙Duke (tan) - 1 year old handsome guy who likes to observe before jumping in. He is an introvert who bonds hard with his people and takes a bit to warm up finding strangers suspicious but when he does you will be on the receiving end to very sweet love! He has been enjoying dogs like Tiffany who take pauses and listen to each other. He does not enjoy dog parks. He is potty trained, was trusted alone inside and lived with another dog. He came to the shelter due to his human losing housing.

💜Tiffany is a 4ish month old retriever/shepherd mix who is very intelligent, learning cues fast and a lover of every person she has met. She is doing well in playgroups with other dogs but can be timid if a dog is overwhelming and doesn’t listen to her. She came as a stray so we don’t have any kid or cat history. She loves to cuddle and be close to her person!

❤️Couple of the week❤️

Barnaby (in foster) and Terra!

💜Terra is a 5ish year old Malinois/mix who loves her guys sweet and calm. Her love language is cuddles and kisses. She loves to go on hikes and play some ball.

💙Barnaby loves everyone and despite his rough start, he is an optimist. He finds Terra beguiling and is ready to fulfill her kiss quota and hopes she won’t hold his age against him at 7 years old. 😘

📞Call to schedule a meet and greet with Barnaby who is in foster and come to meet Terra during open hours at the shelter. These two are absolute gems! ❤️❤️❤️

🧙‍♀️✨ Witch’s Brew: 100% Love Muffin, 0% Witchcraft! 🐾💚

Don’t worry, you won’t need a magic potion to fall under my spell, and I promise I’m not growing any warts! 😉 I’m a 5-ish-month-old mystery mix who might have a little pug in me, might be part cute gremlin, but is DEFINITELY made of approximately 90% love muffin and 10% mischief.

I came to the shelter as a stray, so my past is a mystery. What we do know is that I seem to think people and other dogs are pretty wonderful, and I’m ready to sprinkle a little puppy magic into someone’s life. ✨

So, if you’re looking for a pint-sized gremlin with a heart of gold, a face that could launch a thousand love spells, and enough puppy charm to enchant your entire household… Witch’s Brew is ready to cast her spell! 🖤🔮

Side effects may include excessive smiling, uncontrollable cuddling, and suddenly believing that the cutest little weirdo in the world belongs to you.

Mama Curly Sue and her 12 PUPPIES need a foster home!

Yep, you read that right. TWELVE BABIES. Thankfully, mama is still doing most of the heavy lifting!

This sweet mama and her little crew just need a safe, loving place to land while she raises her babies. We'll provide her whelping box and support!

Commitment: 3-4 weeks until puppies can go into individual homes

Thank you to everyone who participated and made it happen. - By the way, many Shelter adoptions on-site happened as well, making it a total of 18 Lives Saved today!!!
