With everything going on in the rescue community(and world), the continuous heartache we see and hear about daily, the news of Pittie Project PNW, just overall stresses of the path we have chosen to walk as rescuers, we took yesterday to have a little fun while training and excersizing the rescue pups 🫶

Remember to be kind and be the change you wish to see in the world.

Ruffnut is still available, but hanging back from Are You My Human? | Rescue Dog Lounge this week for some one on one training.
She is a 5-6 months old Boarder Collie mix who was found at 5 weeks old with her mom and siblings.

Her training is going very well, she is stubborn but mostly food motivated, figured out how to walk on a leash, is working on "sit" without jumping and some recall for now.

A very late Mommy Monday🫶

🚨SOS🚨 FUNDS NEEDED!

Holy smokes, how is it already Wednesday? We do apologize for not getting this up sooner, we have been up to our ears with new arrivles and navigating Mama Sally and her babies down in CA!

We got word late Monday night(10/5/26) Mama was rushed to the Animal Emercency & Urgent care in Bakersfeild due to a high fever and not wanting to eat anything. When she got there, she had a fever of 105 and mastitis!

What we thought would be a quick visit and antibiotics, turned into a 5 day stay and an emergency surgery to drain her mammary glands of infection 💔 The vet found 8 pockets of infection among her t***s and ended up needing to put drain tubes in. On top of that she has an infection in her uterus that the vet believes is a result of giving birth in an unsanitary environment 😭

She is on 2 different antibiocts, anti inflamatory and pain reliever which means she can no longer nurse her babies, makeing them our 3rd litter of bottle pups this year.

Mama was discharged back to her foster in Bakersfeild CA and she is doing so much better. Her appatite is back and she even gets excited when her foster humans come home from work and school giveing cute little wiggles and ahwoos ♥️

All 4 babies are doing great and one is even starting to open their eyes 🥹

With the babies needing more care now one of our volenteer and experienced bottle mama has offered to drive down this weekend and collect them with her husband.
Mama is still recovering and still has staples from her surgery, so she will be hanging out with her foster a little longer until she is ready.

We could use some help to pay for gas and supplies for not only transporting the pups up but continued care for them.

Our foster has been an absolut saint through all of this and paid for the entire stay and medical care out of pocket without thinking twice. If the math is right she has spent close to 4k in the last week getting Mama all fixed up and she has not asked us to reimburse, but would love to help them out if we could.

Missed our "Mommy Monday" series? Well here's one thats starting out in CA.
Meet Mama Sally and her babies.

One of our partners in CA reached out desperate to get this mama to safty. The original owner left her with their dad and then moved out of state. The dad kept Mama Sally on a chain in the back yard with only the basics. She slipped her chain and came back pregnant. The dad said, he no longer wanted her and didn't sign up for it. Our partner stepped in and reached out. We were all told that she had conceived at the end of August, the dad possibly being some kind of terrier.

We thought we had enough time to get her up here to safty, but Mama Sally pulled a fast one. She dug a hole in the back yard Thrusday night(10-1-26) and the dad woke up to a shock when he found 5 new born puppies and Mama hideing in the hole 😔 Our CA team worked quickly to secure a safe foster and get Mama and Babies moved. Saddly one of the 5 puppies earned her wings over night, but the 4 remaining(1 girl and 3 boys) appear to be doing well.

We are told that she is a sweet girl and a great Mama. They are schedualled to be transported on the 10th, arriving to us on the 11th and we can't wait to meet them all ❤️

We could use a little extra help, as we were not anticipating helping fund little babies this soon and in another state. We have sent food and supplies to CA to help with Mama and babies care over the corse of this next week. We have QR codes along with the handles for PayPal, Venmo, and CashApp at the end of the video. Money donations will go towards her transport fee. Anything extra will go towards basic needs and vet bills for all the pups in our care.
Our Amazon wishlist is linked in the bio, we have all kinds of things that are needed to help with daily care and enrichment for the pups in our care. Right now, we desperatly need wet food for not only the current pups, but to help us earn the trust of Mama as she settles in after she arrives. We are also low on p*e pads which we use in the nursery!

Final update!!! He is home with his family!!! Again we don't know any details outside of he luckily has no major injuries ❤️❤️❤️
To the owners! We are so happy you got your boy home and the outcome was good! Please reach out if you would like, we know our volenteer would love to get in contact with you to check in on how he is. If you wish to remain private, that is absolutly ok too! We are just happy that he is home.

To the person who hit him and kept driving, SHAME ON YOU!

Hey rescue family! If this is your pup, he is currently at the Avon Allen pet emergency vet in Mount Vernon. One of our volenteers seen him get hit by a car on Division and 17th st at immaculate conception and rushed him the er vet. He is alive, we are waiting to hear back. The driver didn't stop, if you have any information please reach out to law enforcment. If you are to nervouse speaking to an officer, please don't hesitate to reach out and we can pass it on. We will update as we learn more.

UPDATE: He is stable and appears to be ok. That said we can't get any more information since he is not our dog. Please share in the hopes that the owner can find him and maybe someone comes forward with information on the driver
