🚨 Peru Travel Lesson #1… 🚨

Paloma thought she’d make friends with a llama today. 🦙❤️

She slowly reached out to pet it…

The llama looked her dead in the eyes… and SPIT! 🤣💦

If that llama could talk, we’re pretty sure it would’ve said:

“Girl… you better get back!” 😤😂

Safe to say, the llama set some very clear boundaries! 😅

Have you ever been spit on by a llama? Tell us your story below! ⬇️

Our friend, owner of Robert Hensley Nature Reconnect, has reviewed a new book which aligns with our mission to build bridges of understanding and appreciation for different cultures through the exploration, celebration, and active preservation of diverse cultures and their traditions.

Across many cultures, cords tied with knots or woven into braids have been used as symbolic tools in folk magic. Rather than being valued…

Our core mission is to build bridges of understanding and appreciation between cultures through the exploration, celebration, and active preservation of the world’s diverse cultural traditions, ancient practices, and beliefs.

This journey marks our first opportunity to bring that mission into real life by creating meaningful cross-cultural connections. We are honored and excited to learn from Asociación Andes and witness firsthand the important work they are doing alongside the communities of Parque de la Papa.

Their efforts to preserve Indigenous knowledge, protect biodiversity, and celebrate cultural heritage are a powerful reflection of the kind of work we hope to support and amplify around the world. We believe initiatives like these offer an inspiring model for how communities can safeguard their traditions while sharing their wisdom across cultures, and we look forward to learning from their example as we continue our mission globally.

Our first look at Machu Picchu was absolutely unreal!!!

🦙 As llamas wandered through the ancient ruins and the clouds slowly lifted, we found ourselves standing in front of one of the most breathtaking places on Earth.

Machu Picchu was built in the 1400s by the Inca Emperor Pachacuti and remained hidden from the outside world for centuries. Perched high in the Andes Mountains, many historians believe it served as a royal estate and sacred ceremonial site, carefully designed to align with the surrounding mountains, the sun, and the stars.

Follow along as we explore more incredible places, cultures, and traditions throughout our Peru journey 🇵🇪

🇵🇪 Our first day in Ollantaytambo was the perfect way to begin our Peru adventure!

Known as the “Living Inca Town,” Ollantaytambo still follows its original Inca street design and sits at 9,160 feet in the Sacred Valley, making it a great place to acclimate to the altitude before exploring higher elevations.

The journey continues this week as we discover more of Peru’s incredible culture, history, and traditions.
