We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Mike Harroun, the man responsible for bringing the Harvest Moon Twin Drive-in Theatre back to life in 1989. Mike and the entire Harroun Family are longtime supporters of the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation.

In 2023, we had the honor of presenting Mike with a special replica statue of Will Rogers to commemorate the many years of support of our summer theatrical fundraising campaign.

Together, we are mourning his loss along with the entire Drive-In Theater community. May his memory be a blessing.

A staple spot for many families in Gibson City is being left with a big hole. Mike Harroun, the man responsible for bringing the Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theatre back to life, died over the weekend.
