🎓🐾 Dobby Got His Scholarship. And Look What He Did With It. ❤️

When Dobby arrived at a local shelter, he weighed just 16 pounds.

He was emaciated. Confused. And probably wondering what had happened to the life he once knew.

Then he came to us.

Dobby didn't need someone to simply open a kennel door and hope for the best. He needed time. He needed food. He needed rest. He needed to feel safe.

And he needed the chance to learn that the world could be a pretty wonderful place.

So that's what his Scholarship Pet journey gave him.

He decompressed.
He gained weight.
He gained confidence.
He made human friends.
He made doggie friends.

And little by little, Dobby became ready for his next chapter.

Today, he's 26 pounds—10 pounds healthier—and through word of mouth, he found a home with stay-at-home parents and plenty of doggie friends to greet on his daily walks. 🥰

But here's the part we hope you'll remember:

Dobby's scholarship was paid for by YOU.

Every donation helps provide the food, care, patience, medical attention, enrichment, and safe place that allows a dog like Dobby to become ready for a family.

We like to think of our Scholarship Pets as getting a scholarship simply for being who they are.

And then they take that scholarship...

and use it for good.

Dobby is going to give his new family companionship, laughter, love, and a lifetime of tail wags.

That's the return on your investment. ❤️

A Rosie Ending 🐾💛

Rosie came to us at just 4 months old after her previous family realized that this purebred AKC Lab was simply too much puppy for their home. She had energy to spare—and she needed a family who could keep up!

About the same time, a family was searching for their next family member. They were a total Lab family who knew how to talk the talk and, more importantly, knew that the energy Rosie had was exactly what had been missing from their home.

And look at her now. 🥹

Rosie has a huge farm to run, human siblings who can keep up with her, and a family who understands exactly what makes a Lab a Lab. And recently, she took her very first trip to the beach! 🌊🐾

From a puppy who was simply “too active” for one home to a dog living her absolute best life in the perfect home—this is exactly why the Scholarship Pet Program matters.

Thank you for supporting Scholarship Pets. Your generosity helps give dogs like Rosie the opportunity to find the people, place, and life they were meant for.

Sometimes loving a dog means making the hardest decision.

Meet Rosie, a 4-month-old AKC-registered Black Lab puppy with endless love, endless energy, and a whole lot of life ahead of her. 🖤🐾

Rosie's family adores her, but they realized they couldn't give this sweet, active girl the exercise and lifestyle she needs to truly thrive. Their hearts are already heavy after recently losing their beloved dog, who was a familiar face at the Center day care. We saw firsthand how difficult this decision was. They chose what was best for Rosie, even though it broke their hearts.

Although the Scholarship program is currently full, Rosie wiggled in.

Before going to her forever home, Rosie will be spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

We're hoping to find her an active, loving family within 20 miles of the center, ideally someone in our community so we can continue to watch this beautiful girl grow.

Blossom is 7 years old. She has spent 1,884 days of her life waiting for someone to choose her.

And yet—she is still full of quiet love.

Blossom doesn’t need long walks or a busy home.
She’s perfectly content with:
• A sunny spot
• A comfortable chair nearby
• Someone to share the day with

She’s a front leg amputee, but she’s adapted beautifully and lives a calm, steady life.

Scholarship Pet Dobby (for adoption) flashing his pearly whites in hopes you see him. He is a super sweet guy who is energetic but who also can chill (around 4ish and 20lbs). Think Corgi/Whippet.
