recently made a big impact on families sheltering with one of their partners, New Bethlehem Place. They donated nearly 100 new blankets and sheets!

From Veronica Rojas-Valdez, the Division Director of Catholic Community Services, “These supplies had a big impact on our families occupying our shelter as bedding is a constant need at New Bethlehem Place. Let me share that our shelter families appreciate the opportunity to have new bedding that they may utilize while sheltering with us, and as they move forward into their new housing.”

Today, we honor the life and work of Dr. King, the civil rights leader who dedicated his life to achieving equality for all people.

As a driver of social change who never was silent about the things that truly matter, Dr. King serves as an inspiration for many of us at Assistance League to keep reaching towards our goals of bettering our communities, no matter what it takes 🙌

program the Foster Children’s Resource Center (“FCRC”) provides critically needed clothes, underwear, blankets, toiletries, backpacks, school supplies, books, and toys to foster children.

Often these children are removed from their homes in the middle of the night with only the clothes on their back. Each child is given the supplies they desperately need along with care, attention, dignity and respect.

Social workers, foster parents, and family members report that after visiting FCRC, children experience a boost in self-esteem and improved school attendance and performance.

is making waves with their Operation School Bell Program!

In the past school year, they have handed out clothing vouchers to almost 3,000 students in the Beaverton and Hillsboro school districts, as well as provided $15,000 for new clothes to pupils in the Portland Public Schools district.

was busy this holiday season with their Secret Santa Squad!

This year, they delivered holiday gifts to residents of the seventeen assisted living facilities throughout Deschutes County including eleven in Bend, one in La Pine, four in Redmond and one in Sisters.

’s Operation School Bell program helps take the burden off families by providing new clothes and athletic shoes to economically disadvantaged children.

Since the start of the program, they have touched the lives of more than 200,000 children! 😮
