💚A Huge Thank You to BHHS Legacy Foundation and Its Entire Board of Directors! 💚

We were incredibly surprised and grateful yesterday when we received a $4,500 grant award from BHHS Legacy Foundation!

This generous support will help Tri-State Cares continue providing critical services to seniors throughout our community. Funds like these help support our meal delivery program for homebound seniors who are waiting for county meal services and our newest initiative, The River Watch.

We are excited to share that 18 participants have already enrolled in The River Watch, our daily wellness check program designed to help seniors living alone stay connected, supported, and safe.

A special thank you goes to the entire BHHS Legacy Foundation Board of Directors for believing in our mission and investing in the well-being of local seniors. Your generosity directly impacts the lives of those who need it most and helps ensure that no senior is forgotten.

We truly couldn’t do what we do without the support of our community partners, donors, volunteers, and organizations like BHHS Legacy Foundation.

Thank you so much Bullhead City Mohave Valley Assn. of Realtors and The Venue 837 for providing this fundraising opportunity to us! We had such a fun evening playing plant bingo! Thank you to everyone who came out to show your support. This money will be used to fund our meal program for seniors who live alone on the waiting list for home delivered meals as well as our brand new River Watch program! We are grateful 🫶🏻

💚 How Does The River Watch Work? 💚

We've received a lot of questions about our new River Watch program, so we wanted to share our wellness check workflow to help explain how it works.

The River Watch is a free daily check-in program designed to provide an added layer of safety, connection, and peace of mind for seniors living alone.

The goal is simple: to ensure that someone is looking out for our seniors every day.

In addition to the daily wellness checks, River Watch will also allow us to share information about community resources, services, events, and emergency notifications that may benefit participants.

If you know someone who lives alone and would benefit from a daily check-in, please encourage them to sign up today.

🚨 UPDATE – MISSING MAN LOCATED 🚨

UPDATE (9/27, 11:50 a.m.): The 82-year-old missing man has been located safely in the area of Silver Creek Road.

He is being transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

We appreciate everyone who shared the alert and assisted in bringing attention to this case. 🙏

🚨 ENDANGERED MISSING PERSON — BULLHEAD CITY 🚨

The Bullhead City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 82-year-old Robert Gurnee Jr., who has been reported missing and is considered endangered due to his age and existing medical conditions.

According to family members, Gurnee was last seen at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday, September 26, after being discharged from the hospital into the care of an unidentified friend. He did not return home, and his family has expressed concern for his safety and well-being.

🔹 Name: Robert Gurnee Jr.
🔹 Age: 82
🔹 Sex/Race: White male
🔹 Height: Approximately 5’08”
🔹 Weight: Approximately 120 pounds
🔹 Hair: Gray
🔹 Eyes: Brown
🔹 Last Known Clothing: White long-sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans and gray shoes

Anyone who may have seen Gurnee or has information regarding his current whereabouts is urged to contact the Bullhead City Police Department at (928) 763-1999.

We can also help with:

✔ Donation of medical equipment (when available)
✔ Assistance with prescriptions and more
