It’s a new week for Lions Vision Screening! This week we will visit two schools.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1, Lion Criste will be at. Harvest Bible with her team.
Wednesday , Lions Criste and Bonnie will go to Sunrise, where Lion Chris is Principal! Their amazing teams will be there with them!
Remember, this is NOT an eye exam, but rather, a screening. The children will sit a couple of feet from the screener, and will have a quick picture taken of their eyes. This process generally takes less than ten seconds! If it is recommended for the child to see an eye doctor, a notice will be provided to the parents/guardians. If the family cannot afford the visit to the eye doctor or the glasses, the LIONS WILL PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE!
Please share this information so that all residents are informed and ready for the screenings. If the child has glasses, he/she should wear them. We can tell if they are working!
Also, remember that some eye issues must be addressed with an eye doctor before a child is six years old. If they are not addressed in time, the sight may be permanently lost in that eye!

Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones you least expect. 🤞

When combing through Goodrington Sands in southwest England, Carol Franklin stumbled upon a wooden egg bearing a familiar symbol. After brushing off the sand, her suspicions proved correct– it was the Lions International emblem!

She took the egg home, excited to show it to her partner, Nick Legge, a member of the Clevedon Lions Club. The pair further investigated the egg's origin, soon discovering it was one of more than a dozen left undiscovered after Paignton Lions Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt. 🔎🥚

Turns out, you can run into a Lion anywhere you go!

Lion Bonnie is back with this week’s Vision Screening schedule! Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26, we will have a full team of Lions at Desert Star. It will be a very busy two days with lots of students to screen! Please be sure that the students have their eye glasses so we can see if they are working well!
Wednesday, August 27, Lion Criste will travel with her team to Topock, Yucca, and Mohave Daycare.
Remember, if a child needs to see an eye doctor and/or get glasses and the parents can’t afford it, we provide financial assistance! This is a totally free service for our community!
