IT’S TIME TO BE A PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER. 🌟

In the Hays County ,26% of children live in poverty, lack properly fitting shoes, often arriving at school in shoes that are the wrong size or have holes, leading to shame bullying, embarrassment, and limited participation in physical education or play.

For the past 10 years Hays Cares has distributed over 9,000 pairs of new ,high-quality, brand-name athletic shoes to children in under-resourced communities of Hays County.
Hays Cares Shoes Of Hope ensures that (92-94%) local students start the school year with confidence, dignity and increased ability to learn and thrive.
Our initiative has reduces the financial strain and economic burden on (74%) of struggling families while promoting active lifestyles ,improved school participation, ,emotional wellbeing, and reducing the stigma associated with worn-out footwear, directly resulting in higher self-esteem ,hope ,and increased school attendance.

These shoes are the first step toward a healthy mind, soul, and body, providing kids the dignity they deserve to step into a brighter future
with a sense of belonging.

HAYS CARES is committed to serve and inspire Hope in children and families by providing shoes and economic resources as the foundation to a spiritual and healthy life. Hays Cares Shoes Of Hope project annually provides new shoes and socks to over 1000 Hays County children, addressing socio-economic challenges. This initiative reduces economic stress, boosts confidence, and promotes school attendance , ensuring every child starts the school year prepared.
