2019 marks 15 years that Amber's Angels has been privileged to carry on Amberlyn Fett’s legacy. We cannot say thank you enough to all of our loyal friends/supporters through these 15 years. Without your prayers, donations and volunteer hours, we could not have accomplished our mission of bringing joy and smiles to the faces of children in the hospital.
Although it was a difficult decision, our Board has voted to disband Amber's Angels. It has become increasingly more difficult to carry out our mission due to some of the new rules and procedures at the hospital. We always wanted to put a personal touch each time we distributed gifts, and it was such a labor of love. We will cherish the memories of those good times.
There will be no Christmas delivery this year. We plan to be officially dissolved no later than January 31, 2020. Between now and then we will continue to distribute our remaining supply of coloring books, crayons and other gifts to non-profit organizations. Whatever funds remain in our bank account will be donated in Amberlyn’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - Central Texas Chapter. Our decision was made easier, knowing that the CF Foundation was near and dear to Amberlyn’s heart.
Amberlyn would tell you to keep doing what her motto for Amber’s Angels was ... “Be the change you want to see in the world...”
