Happy Heavenly Birthday to Kevin 🎂

Kevin was one of the young men we lost here in Hays county during the summer of 2022.

Kevin is one of the reasons we continue doing this work. One of the reasons we keep speaking, keep educating, and keep fighting for awareness and prevention! Because these lives were real, they were loved, and they should still be here.

Today we remember Kevin, we speak his name, and we honor his life. Praying for The McConville family today ❤️‍🩹

Our hearts are absolutely broken for the Locke family. No parent should ever have to bury their child, no siblings should have to carry this kind of pain. Addiction and overdose DO NOT discriminate. Behind every headline, every statistic, and every struggle is a real person who was deeply loved. We are praying hard for peace, strength, and the comfort of Jesus to surround this family in the days ahead. Especially for his parents, his five siblings, and everyone who loved him and fought alongside him on this journey.

Please keep the Locke family lifted up in prayer as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Today, words fail us. It’s been a long, hard battle the last few years. In times like this, the sacrifices and the struggles don’t even matter. A few hours ago we received the most earth-shattering news that our 20 year old son, Evan Roberts Locke, could not be revived after his heart stopped due to an overdose. His struggle was very public. It was used as a warning to many, a punchline to the haters but an overall reminder that even in our deepest pain, the grace of Jesus will sustain us. I’ll address the church family with arrangement details this Sunday. Please respect our privacy. He has 5 heartbroken siblings and a world of people that helped him along his journey.

Today, Brandon and I presented to the middle and high school students at Tom Bean High School. We hope and pray that the presentation leaves a lasting impression on the kiddos... I can also appreciate a school that appreciates the 80s (check out some pics below) 🤣

Today we had the opportunity to deliver two presentations at the Texas Jail Association Conference, and both were incredibly powerful and impactful.

What made today even more special was having our very own Hays County Sheriff Anthony Hipolito, sit in during our second presentation to support us. That meant so much.

Anthony is the one who started fentanyl education outreach in Hays County. He saw what was coming and chose to act, and because of that, so many other counties are now following that example. That kind of leadership matters.

We’re just grateful to be a small part of something bigger… sharing Noah, raising awareness, and doing everything we can to help save lives.

April 29 is National Fentanyl Awareness Day in Hays County.
Fentanyl continues to take lives across Texas and the nation — often without people even knowing it’s present. Its impact is felt deeply by families, schools, healthcare providers, first responders, and communities, especially among youth and young adults.
By raising awareness, reducing stigma, expanding access to treatment and recovery resources, and promoting life-saving tools like naloxone/Narcan, we can protect our neighbors and save lives.
Today, we honor those we’ve lost, support those affected, and stand together with our community partners to prevent future tragedies. 💜
