NCFH acknowledges the recent reports concerning César Chávez and recognizes the weight of this information. As an organization committed to the dignity and well-being of farmworkers and their families, we believe it is essential to address these concerns with care and responsibility.

We affirm our unwavering support for survivors of sexual abuse and assault and those impacted. Their voices matter, and their experiences must be met with compassion, respect, and a commitment to justice.

As a farmworker movement, we must remain united in our commitment to these values—supporting survivors, upholding accountability, and ensuring safety and respect for all—while continuing to advance justice, dignity, and equity for farmworkers and their families.

We encourage individuals and organizations to educate themselves, support survivor-centered resources, and help prevent harm. Please share the Farmworker Safety Card Tool, developed by Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation (a project of Futures Without Violence and Alianza Nacional De Campesinas), for information on intimate partner violence, healthcare access, and relationship support.
