🌿 A little weeding can make a big difference.

This week, Brooksville Main Street volunteers spent some time sprucing up our downtown Adopt-A-Spot near the Courthouse.

While many people know us for events and festivals, there's so much more happening behind the scenes to help keep our historic downtown beautiful, welcoming, and vibrant.

Community pride isn't built in a day—it's built through small acts of service, one flower bed, sidewalk, and public space at a time.

🇺🇸 Happy National Flag Day, Brooksville! 🇺🇸

Today, we proudly look up at Old Glory as it flies across our historic downtown courthouse and throughout our neighborhoods. June 14th marks National Flag Day, a special day to honor the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official symbol of our nation back in 1777.

Our flag is more than just fabric and threads; it is a living symbol of freedom, unity, and resilience. It honors the ultimate sacrifices made by our veterans, celebrates our shared history, and reminds us of the strength found right here in our local communities.

🧜‍♀️ A bucket-list adventure in Downtown Brooksville!

While out and about Thursday evening, we met Dana and Mike and their granddaughter Isabelle, who was visiting from out of state.

One thing on Isabelle’s must-do list? The Florida Mermaid Trail.

Armed with a map and a sense of adventure, they spent the evening hunting for tiny mermaids, exploring our historic downtown, and stopping into local businesses along the way.

This is exactly why we do what we do. Seeing families make memories, enjoy our beautiful downtown, and support local businesses is what Brooksville Main Street is all about.
