The Lifeline for Justice silent auction is officially live! Every bid supports The Family Center's Legal Wellness Institute, which gives New Yorkers and their families free legal help when they need it most.

A few lots we're excited about:

Fall is officially in full swing, but we’re already dreaming of spring. ✨

The Family Center’s 2027 Spring Soirée is set for Thursday, April 8, and we invite you to join us for a night dedicated to celebrating our community and the New Yorkers we are honored to support.

This is more than a gala. Our Spring Soirée is a direct investment and celebration of the clients we serve, those who have bravely taken steps forward on their journeys to healing, stability, and a fulfilling future. From the grandmother selflessly raising teenagers in an ever-changing world to our clients fighting their way to recovery from substance use, this evening honors their courage and helps ensure the Family Center can keep showing up for them, every step of the way.

Where can you run a 5k on an airport runway? This October, the Family Center is proud to participate in the JFK Runway Run—a 50-year tradition at the airport where a stretch of JFK’s longest runway (14,000 feet long!) is closed to planes so runners can take over instead.

For the first time in 7 years, The Family Center is back on the runway, and we’re bringing our board members, Leadership Council members, staff, and clients together to run (and walk!) in support of our clients. Creating paths to healing, stability, and a fulfilling future is TFC’s mission, and we invite our community to join in driving this work forward by making a donation to support our team.

Last month, our team made their way to Harlem for the NYC Small Business Cannabis Festival & Resource Fair!

There, they connected with community members in the city to share more about The Family Center and the services we provide to New Yorkers across all five boroughs.
Community reinvestment funding continues to play a vital role in expanding these services—directly supporting our mission of creating a path to healing, stability, and a fulfilling future for all New Yorkers.

Our CEO even took a moment at the mic to share a few words, touching on what that looks like right here at TFC, including the expansion of mental health services for youth through Rize Up!, our program blending therapeutic support with engaging activities like boxing, cooking, robotics, and so much more.

Before these backpacks made it to our clients, Bayview Asset Management spent an afternoon packing them, bag by bag, alongside our CEO and staff.
For so many families, the cost of school supplies can add a real financial strain to their household budget.

Because of Bayview’s generosity, that burden is a little lighter this year, so our clients can focus on what matters most—their kids starting the school year feeling prepared and supported. We're so grateful to Bayview Asset Management who helped us show up for our community when it matters most.
