Black Web Fest Black Web Fest is an organization that celebrates Black creatives from across the globe.

Black Web Fest is a community and safe space for people from the African diaspora unite to discover online shorts, web series, new media, and web industry trends. We seek to bridge the gap from traditional media and entertainment industry to the evolving emerging media landscape by creating accessible programs for Black creators. The organization connects these creatives and media makers with opportunities to showcase their creative work, learn new skills, and network.

From our friends: is hosting a one day symposium on Sunday, June 2nd in Los Angeles! This essential one-day event is designed to empower Black filmmakers in transitioning from shorts to larger formats, including features, television, and branded content. With its central theme, "Graduating From Shorts," the symposium offers a platform for creators to gain invaluable insights, strategies, and connections crucial for navigating the industry landscape.

Through a series of skill enhancing sessions and community building, participants are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to amplify their short films into stepping stones toward broader opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Participants can also enter our short film contest for a $1,000 cash prize!

Our friends at launched their second mentorship cohort which offers emerging filmmakers an opportunity to build relationships and develop their skill set alongside seasoned professionals.

The Black Film Space Mentorship Program pairs 10 mentees and 10 mentors together from June 5th to November 22nd, 2024. Mentees will have (6) 45 minute meetings with their mentor during the program to discuss their work, develop their projects, and careers as it pertains to their short and long term goals. Mentors will give one round of feedback on the mentees work over the course of the program.

You must be a Black Film Space member to apply. Deadline to apply is April 24th.

The Black Film Space Symposium is an opportunity to come together as creators and take a more in-depth look at multiple facets of the entertainment industry. Through a weekend of workshops, discussions, and screenings we'll celebrate the accomplishments of those working on the page, stage and screen. The weekend will inspire current and future creators to stay on top of their craft!
