The Golden Retriever Rescue for Golden Retriever Lovers. Visit our website at http://www.waagr.org. We would love to help you find your new best friend!

WAAGR is an all-volunteer animal rescue dedicated to rehoming Golden Retrievers and Golden Retriever mixes. We have no paid staff and rely on donations and fundraisers to help provide for a safe and happy life for Golden Retrievers that need a new home. All of our dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers until they are ready to be adopted. This process includes medical treatment and behavioral training as needed. All of our dogs are neutered/spayed, and microchipped before being adopted.

ANOTHER HAPPY ENDING! 🥹🐾❤️

Sweet Woodford came into rescue needing a little (okay, a LOT!) of TLC. His skin and allergies needed attention, he was overdue for vaccines and bloodwork, and his poor teeth were in desperate need of some dental care.

Well, after TWO dental procedures involving 14 extractions (yes, FOURTEEN! 😳), along with getting his other medical needs addressed, we are SO happy to report that Woodford is happy, healthy, and OFFICIALLY ADOPTED!🎉❤️

And if that doesn't make your heart happy, just wait until you hear what his new family has to say. 🥹

💌 A little update from Woodford's forever family:

*"He's extremely loved by his new family, and he's getting lots of attention, affection, walks, and playtime on a daily basis. Although his dental health will be an ongoing concern due to unlucky genetics, his health and happiness are our top priorities, and he will receive timely veterinary care as needed for the rest of his years. Again, we are so thankful to WAAGR for giving us the opportunity to add Woodford to our family."*

Woodford didn't just find a family. He found people who understand his medical needs, are committed to keeping him healthy, and will love him through every stage of his life.

These are the happy endings we work so hard for. The dentals, the bloodwork, the medications, the veterinary appointments, and the expenses that come with them are all worth it when we get updates like this.

🐾 HAPPY WEEKEND NEWS!🥹❤️

Our sweet Hudson has officially found his FOREVER FAMILY!!! 🏡💛

From the moment Hudson met his new family and big brother, Townes, the chemistry was SO organic. 🥹 Sometimes you just *know* when a match is meant to be, and this was absolutely one of those moments!

We truly could not have dreamed up a more perfect family for Hudson. Everything about this match just feels RIGHT, and our hearts are so full knowing how loved this sweet boy will be. ❤️

Happy tails, Hudson!🐾 We cannot wait to watch you grow up alongside your new brother, Townes!

And can we PLEASE talk about how Hudson looks like Townes' little mini-me?! 😆🥹 Seriously, could these two be any cuter?!
