🌟 Welcome to the Jewish Federation of West-Central New Jersey (JFedWCNJ)! 🌟
For over 60 years, JFedWCNJ has been a unifying force for Jewish community-building and philanthropy in our tri-county area. We are dedicated to enriching Jewish life, supporting those in need, and ensuring a vibrant Jewish future for generations to come.
💙 What We Do:
• Strengthen Jewish identity, education, and cultural life
• Support local synagogues and social service programs
• Fund vital initiatives at Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties, the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, at Rutgers University Hillel, in our local area synagogues and the broader community
• Stand with Israel—supporting olim (immigrants), crisis response, Birthright trips, cultural exchanges, and more
• Uplift Jewish communities in over 70 countries worldwide
🌍 From local neighborhoods to Israel and beyond, your support of our Annual Campaign helps bring comfort, hope, and opportunity where it's needed most. Together with our global partners—Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), World ORT, and Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA)—we create real, lasting impact.
🙏 Whether you're new here or a long-time friend, welcome. We’re so glad you're part of our community.

The Jewish Federation of West-Central New Jersey’s mission group has safely arrived in Poland and begun this meaningful journey with visits to the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery, the remnants of the Warsaw Ghetto wall, and monuments honoring the lives and legacy of the Jewish people.

One especially powerful moment was gathering at the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Monument to sing “Am Yisrael Chai” — The People of Israel Live.

As we begin this mission, we are reminded of the importance of remembering our history, honoring those we lost, and ensuring that the stories of the Jewish people are never forgotten. Standing together in these historic places reinforces our commitment to Jewish identity, resilience, and the strength of our community.

We carry the past with us as we continue to build a stronger Jewish future.

Am Yisrael Chai. The People of Israel Live. 🇮🇱

On Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah, we finish reading the Torah and immediately begin again. It’s a cycle that has sustained the Jewish people for generations.
But these holidays also remind us to pause before we begin again. We rest. We practice being present. We celebrate completion and honor what we’ve accomplished before starting a new cycle.
Shabbat Shalom!
