Five years… and there are still days when it feels impossible to believe that you’re really gone.
You weren’t just a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a sister-in-law, or a friend. You were the person people called when they needed someone. You were the person who showed up. You were the person who would give the shirt off your back without thinking twice. Helping people wasn’t something you did because you had to—it was simply who you were. It was your hobby, your nature, your heart.
You loved people so deeply and so selflessly. You never cared about what you would get back. If someone needed you, you were there. No questions asked. No matter what.
And that’s what hurts so much.
Because the world lost someone who still had so much love to give.
We lost birthdays, holidays, conversations, laughs, hugs, and a million little moments that we never imagined would have to happen without you. There are people and memories in our lives now that you should have been here to know. There are moments when we still catch ourselves wishing we could pick up the phone, tell you something, hear your voice, or just have you here.
Five years later, we still talk about you. We still remember the things you did for us. We still laugh at the memories and cry over the ones we’ll never get to make.
I hope you know how loved you were then, and how incredibly loved you still are now.
You may have left this world five years ago, but you never left the hearts of the people who knew you.
You were one of a kind. You were loved beyond words. And you are missed more than you could ever imagine.
Five years without you, and we still carry you with us every single day. Until we meet again. 🕊️🤍
