The Center for Housing Opportunity works to produce and preserve housing for people of all incomes and walks of life in western Connecticut.

The Centers for Housing Opportunity are strategic partnerships responding to housing affordability in Fairfield County, Litchfield County, and Eastern Connecticut. The Center is home to Fairfield County's Center for Housing Opportunity (FCCHO) and Litchfield County's Center for Housing Opportunity (LCCHO). CHO believes that equitable access to safe, affordable, and healthy housing is the foundation of a thriving community. Utilizing a collaborative, data-driven, and regional approach, the Center for Housing Opportunity strives to reduce the cost burdens which too many households - owners and renters - face in our region. The Center adopts a collective impact model that strategically aligns many organizations from multiple sectors to advance social change.

New London is an example of a community with a historic, walkable downtown area that has been embracing housing development near their train station. This Saturday, join Pro-Homes CT and our Eastern Connecticut team for a walk through downtown New London to explore the city's progress, challenges, and opportunities.

The tour will start at the train station and end at the We Live Here/New London exhibition, our collaboration with Connecticut College at Garde Arts Center that spotlights the history and future of housing development in the region.
