Over the weekend, our baseball community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a young player from one of the teams in our league.

There are no words that can truly express the sadness of a tragedy like this. On behalf of everyone at Red Hill, we extend our deepest condolences to the player’s family, teammates, coaches, and all who knew and loved them.

Baseball is more than a game, it’s a family. Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Congratulations to Coach Conner Kirkwood and his Darnell Welding team on winning this year’s 13U Baseball Championship tonight!

Darnell Welding defeated Lawrence County Memorial Hospital 8–5 in a great championship game. It was a fun one to watch, especially with both teams representing Bridgeport.

Bridgeport had the #1 and #2 ranked teams this year, and it was awesome to see both home teams battle it out in such a competitive game.

Congratulations again to Darnell Welding, and great season to Lawrence County Memorial Hospital!
