Thank You for Making Our 7th Annual Golf Scramble a Success!

What a great day on the course! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the 7th Annual Lawrence County Young Leader Golf Scramble a success. This year, we welcomed 21 teams for a beautiful and hot day at Lawrence County Country Club.

A huge thank you to everyone who put together a team, sponsored the event, donated prizes, or helped make the day possible. Your support allows the Lawrence County Young Leaders to continue raising funds for local scholarships and 4-H project grants, making a meaningful impact on our community’s youth.

We would also like to give a special shoutout to Jones Farms and Illinois Pork Producers for providing grant funding to help us provide lunch for all of our teams. We truly appreciate your support!

Congratulations to our top three teams:
1st Place — Gartner Farms
2nd Place — Wabash Valley Service Company
3rd Place — Meeks Real Estate

We also want to give a special thank you to Auston Phipps for always going above and beyond each year by smoking ribs for us to sell and raise additional funds. They were delicious as always!

Today also turned out to be an especially lucky day for Auston, as he was drawn as the winner of the XL Pit Boss Smoker generously donated by Jim Fontanyi with COUNTRY Financial. Thank you, Jim, for always supporting our organization!

From everyone at Lawrence County Young Leaders, thank you for continuing to support this event and the work we do for agriculture and the youth of Lawrence County. We had a fantastic day and are already looking forward to seeing everyone back on the course next year!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for our annual Young Leader Golf Scramble!

We’re excited to spend the day enjoying great golf, connecting with our community, and supporting a meaningful cause. This event helps raise funds to support local youth through scholarships, 4-H grants, and Ag in the Classroom programs that help educate and inspire the next generation.

Thank you for being part of this year’s event and for helping us continue to invest in our local youth, agriculture education, and future leaders. We can’t wait to see you on the course!

The Southern IL Ag Tour is shaping up to be a great opportunity to learn, connect, and spend time with fellow Farm Bureau members from across the state.

The day will kick off with a welcome from Illinois Farm Bureau President Philip Nelson, followed by a keynote address from Matt McClelland, CEO of Prairie Farms Dairy. From there, you'll get an inside look at agriculture through a unique lens while building relationships with members you may not have met otherwise.

We'll wrap up the tour at Flamm Orchards for dinner, live music, and plenty of time to continue the conversations and connections that make Farm Bureau so valuable.

A sincere thank you to Jim Fontanyi, COUNTRY Financial, for generously donating this year's raffle prize for the Young Leader Golf Scramble!

This year's prize is an impressive Pit Boss smoker, and one lucky winner will take it home. Be sure to stop by the Young Leader table during the golf scramble to purchase your raffle tickets for a chance to win.

All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Lawrence County Ag in the Classroom, helping support agricultural education for students throughout our community.
