Registration for the Cloverbud Day Camp closes Monday!

Youth ages 5-7 are invited to join the Cloverbud Day Camp with Lawrence County 4-H, and this year's theme is butterflies! Youth will explore the life cycle of butterflies, create their own butterfly craft, and paint a take-home flower planter. Participants do not need to be 4-H members to attend, and lunch will be provided.

Time: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: Lawrence County Fairgrounds Poultry Barn

Who needs to test?
All entries (except poultry under 6 months of age and or waterfowl, i.e., domesticated fowl that normally swim, such as ducks and geese) in a show or exhibition shall have originated from a U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean or equivalent hatchery or flock OR have a negative pullorum-typhoid test within 90 days prior to exhibition.

🍀Required Species Yearly: Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, Swine, Sheep, and Goats
🍀If you choose to take the online version, it is the responsibility of the youth to provide a copy of the YQCA certificate of completion to the extension office by June 1.
🍀Important Note: Please register for the participant's age as of January 1st of this year.

The Quality Assurance and Ethics Certification has been developed to review what is expected of youth when preparing for and exhibiting animals in competition.
🍀Who is required to complete this certification?
All 4-H Youth enrolled in a livestock project area or an animal science project will be required to complete this online course once to remain enrolled in a livestock project area. Youth only need to complete QAEC once during their 4-H career.
🍀Species: Cat, Dog, Horse/Pony, Poultry, Rabbits, and Llamas/Alpacas.
🍀Certification: It will be required for the 2026 County 4-H Shows and the Illinois State Fair Junior Show that any new youth enrolled in one of the livestock project areas (listed above) complete the Quality Assurance and Ethics Certification.
