American Legion Auxiliary Lawrence Unit 28 Department of Illinois members President Lynette Richards, Beverly Sheley and Rose Hart attended the Twenty Third District Fall Meeting in Effingham. Business was conducted and reports read. Lynette Richards accepted the position as Historian. Lawrence Unit 28 has three officers in the Twenty Third District; Historian Lynette Richards, Chaplain Beverly Sheley and Assistant Sgt. @ Arms Rose Hart. Chaplain Sheley presented the past Twenty Third District President Diana Owens with a Prayer Book that won first place in the 105th Department of Illinois Convention, a Photo Book and the Press Book that received the Julia’s Muscian Plaque for Best District Press Book at Convention.
