Elvira "Vida" Jimenez 11th Ward Alderman Candidate for Chicago Vida “Working Together for a Stronger Community” Vida wants to use her lifetime of experience to create a safer and more prosperous 11th ward.

Vida retired as a civilian after serving 12 years for the City of Chicago Police Department, CAPS Program, as a Bilingual (Spanish) Community Organizer and Community Service Representative. Within those 12 years, Vida created and initiated crime prevention programs as well as addressing city services in various police districts throughout the city of Chicago, as well as her own community. Working

with Community Residents, Chicago Police, City Departments, Government Agencies & Dignitaries, Vida was awarded many certificates for achieving her goals by educating the community and providing a safer environment for families to live. Vida is proud to have served as a civilian for the Chicago Police Department, and extremely proud of her family who serve the Chicago Police Department, Fire Department, and Medical facilities. Vida also has a strong accounting record for 20+ years. She was born and raised first generation in Bridgeport, she raised her children in Bridgeport, and is now a grandmother of four.

WHEN IS IT ENOUGH CHICAGO?

Law is created to be followed & enforced without excuses! Officers are not the enemy, they are hero's. Take the cuffs off the officers and let them do their job under the law to protect life.

Youth need boundaries not excuses. Excuses are just that EXCUSES!

As parents do you have boundaries or excuses at home for your children????

I am taking the day off because I think I caught a flu bug during the last days of the campaign. Thank you to my supporters who came out to vote, put up signs and helped walk door to door.
