Had a wonderful belated Founders Day with our Vanderbilt sisters!

It was a special afternoon bringing together Kappas across generations to honor the women who started it all and the sisterhood that continues to connect us today.

We were proud to recognize two members and past presidents of our Association, Leslie and Betsy, celebrating an incredible 50 years of Kappa membership, as well as our president, Emily, for her 10 years of membership. Lisa shared a special ritual presentation, and thanks to Hayley for organizing the delicious light bites and desserts.

It was a fun afternoon filled with sisterhood, tradition, memories, and a reminder that Kappa is for a lifetime!

Happy Birthday, Minnie! 🥳

Born on this day in 1852, Minnie grew up to be a teacher, a principal, and a Kappa Kappa Gamma Founder. 💙

Fun fact: Minnie’s hometown of Oquawka turned down the railroad, so her family packed up and moved 16 miles to Monmouth in 1861. 🚂 Good thing they did! Our sisterhood began right there, in Minnie’s family parlor, now the Charter Room at The Stewart House Museum.

Today we celebrate the six remarkable women who founded Kappa Kappa Gamma in 1870 and began a sisterhood that continues to connect women across generations.

Their vision created something so much bigger than a college experience. It gave us lifelong friendships, meaningful traditions, opportunities to lead and serve, and a sisterhood that stays with us long after graduation.

As Nashville Kappa alumnae, we are grateful to be part of a sisterhood that continues to grow, inspire, and bring us together!

What a night! Songwriters Night Under the Stars was truly one for the books!

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, more amazing songwriters, or a more meaningful evening as we came together to support mental health and well-being in our community.

Thanks to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and helped make the night such a success! We are thrilled that our current total is $4,700 raised for our mental health and well-being partners.
