This past Saturday, we were invited to host a KBSU student showcase at the Kitsap Back-2-School Forum at the Marvin Williams Center. What an amazing experience we had! From music to talent and different forms of artistry- there was intention given to student voice at various stages of life. We even had a ventriliquist act!!! Has anyone ventriliquist done by a young Black Queen? This was an amazing impressive first for us!

The meat of the showcase was captured in the student panel moderated by the one and only Erin Jones!!!

Our students were on 🔥! For a few, this was their first panel speaker experience and Erin made sure everyone felt included. We love you Erin!

One of the questions that stuck with us all was what we would tell our younger self if we could go back in time by 5 years. The growth and maturity that came out of these students was really a nod to the next generation of leaders.

Thank you to Foundation for Homeless & Poverty Management for the platform to express ourselves!

10/10 would definitely recommend ❤️
