Apply by phone. West Sound PAWS helps hundreds of families every year with pets suffering from illness or injury through their Veterinary Assistance program and partner veterinary clinics. They provide emergency financial aid for veterinary expenses to low-income families and also offer assistance with pet food and free or low-cost spay/neuter services.

Kitsap Animal Rescue and Education (KARE) provides assistance for serious medical conditions and emergency veterinary services for low-income Kitsap County residents.
Grants are available for up to $1,500 and are awarded annually based on medical urgency, financial need, available funding, and eligibility. Grants are not guaranteed and do not cover spay/neuter surgeries, dental cleanings, preventative care, or ongoing medical treatments.
To be eligible, pet owners must:
• Be a resident of Kitsap County, WA
• Meet income guidelines or have recently experienced financial hardship
