This hot and bubbling seafood dip combines tender shrimp, lump crab, smoky bacon, vegetables, and four rich cheeses. It is a creamy, crowd-pleasing appetizer made for parties, holidays, and game-day gatherings.
🛒 Ingredients
1 pound salad shrimp, patted dry
6 ounces lump crab meat
½ cup cooked bacon pieces
8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup mayonnaise
½ cup grated pepper Jack cheese
¼ cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
¼ cup finely diced red bell pepper
¼ cup finely sliced green onion
2 tablespoons additional sliced green onion, for garnish
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
👩🍳 Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Place the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise in a medium mixing bowl. Blend with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the pepper Jack, sharp cheddar, Parmesan, diced red bell pepper, and ¼ cup sliced green onion. Blend until evenly combined.
Mix in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and black pepper.
Use a fork to gently stir in the lump crab meat and cooked bacon pieces.
Fold in the dried salad shrimp without breaking them apart.
Spoon the seafood mixture into a 1½-quart baking dish and spread it evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
Remove the dip from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Garnish with the remaining 2 tablespoons of sliced green onion and serve warm.
💡 Chef’s Tip
Pat the shrimp thoroughly dry before mixing so excess moisture does not thin the creamy dip.
