Something to think about. They studied this country's treatment of the people from whom I am a descendant of, to decide how to mistreat people. My latest on Patreon, which I'll make available for free later, touches upon how our inability to know history is part of why we are in this situation.
Jim Crow was this country's response to Reconstruction and watching the formerly enslaved Africans build lives for themselves. After Obama was elected, we declared ourselves post racial, when in reality, we should have been preparing for the backlash and payback for daring to elect a Black man.
45/47 is the response for a Black man daring to be POTUS, widen the lens, it's not about each president, it's about the historical response to Black progress and social progress.
For a decade now, we were making progress in this country and it made a lot of people uncomfortable. Being forced to see and honor the humanity of others was too much. So they would rather destroy it than have a diverse and inclusive country.
They fear change so much, that they seek to silence us. For years, we watched as people mocked Black and Brown victims of police violence. Trayvon, George Floyd, Sandra Bland, the list goes on. They mocked them all, they said the nastiest things, even about Black children and none of them lost their jobs. They weren't doxxed and dragged for filth on social media even though they deserved it. No, we accepted their first amendment right to be a canoe of the do**he.
But now?
They wish to silence us for good, they want to ensure that this stolen land they have the unmitigated gall to call theirs is never sullied by people unlike them, who call them on their bs.
Everything happening is tied to this country's racist foundation, racism is as American as baseball and apple pie.
