More than 30 years ago, Olin Armstrong began coaching with Team Breckenridge. What followed was more than three decades of dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to helping young athletes grow.
During his time with Team Breck, Olin watched generations of skiers come through our program. Many of the athletes he coached have gone on to become coaches themselves, carrying forward the lessons, values, and love of skiing that he shared with them.
For over 30 years, Olin was a familiar face at training, races, camps, and on chairlifts. He celebrated successes, helped athletes through setbacks, encouraged them to push beyond their limits, and reminded them why they fell in love with skiing in the first place.
His legacy isn’t measured by medals or podiums. It’s measured by the thousands of lives he touched, the confidence he built, the friendships he fostered, and the community he helped create.
Team Breckenridge has changed over the years, but Olin’s passion for coaching and his commitment to our athletes never did.
As he retires, we want to express our deepest gratitude for everything he has given to this club. His fingerprints are all over Team Breckenridge’s history, and his impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.
Thank you, Olin, for more than 30 years of believing in our athletes, strengthening our community, and making Team Breck a place so many have proudly called home.
Congratulations on your retirement—you’ve earned every moment of it. We can’t wait to see where your next adventures take you, and you’ll always be part of the Team Breck family.
