The Financial Awareness Workshop sponsored by Greater Mount Zion Church and GMZ Education and Development Center was well attended by individuals in the community in August 2026. The following topics were discussed: Budgeting, Checking / Savings Accounts, CDs, Loans, Mortgages, Credit Score / FICO, Wealth Management (Financial Strategy, Investing, IRAs, Mutual Funds, etc), Life Insurance, and much more. A Back-to-School Party will take place at the GMZ Event Center on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Backpacks and school supplies will be given away. Come enjoy free food and fellowship for the entire family. There will be many games played including BINGO and 3-on-3 basketball for junior high and high school students.

Dream Camp is Back!
The 15th Annual Dream Camp (STEM) will take place July 6–10, 2026 at the GMZ Event Center in Brazoria.
Open to students currently in 1st–8th grade, this free camp offers hands-on learning in:

• Drones & Robotics
• Interactive Experiments
