Did you know that the NJSOC is a leader in climate change education? Not just in our home state…. nationally!
Last week, our Director of Education, Tanya Sulikowski, presented at the Rutgers Climate Change Research Symposium with Dr. Roberta Hunter from NJ Audubon and Drs. Brielle Kociolek and Eddie Cohen from Rutgers University.
Their presentation, “Scaling Climate Change Education Through Collaboration: Evaluating the Impact of Learning Collaboratives on K-12 Classrooms” celebrated the achievements of the NJSOC and other organizations from around New Jersey in the realm of climate change education.
Tanya also enjoyed the opportunity to thank Senator Smith for his continued support in advocating for funding for the NJSOC.
Help us maintain our vital role in this new educational movement.
Please call your local legislators, Senate President Nick Scutari, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, and Governor Sherrill's office and ask them to support Senate Budget Resolution #302 and Assembly Budget Resolution #990, to fully fund the NJ School of Conservation (https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/district-map).
