The article shares Laura’s journey following Hurricanes Helene and Milton and shows the difference community support can make during long-term disaster recovery.

Through Hope Pathways, Laura was connected with resources, compassionate support, and World Renew Disaster Response Services volunteers who helped complete important repairs to her home. Together, these efforts helped restore more than her living space—they helped restore hope.

Peter’s home is repaired. His story is one of resilience, community, and hope.

After Hurricane Milton damaged his mobile home in Palmetto, Hope Pathways helped make critical repairs possible. Now, with the repairs complete, Peter has one less thing to worry about as he moves forward.

We’re proud to see his story featured by ABC7 Sarasota and even prouder of the people who came together to make this work possible.

This is why we do what we do: helping homeowners recover, rebuild, and feel secure in their homes again.

Over the weekend, Hope Pathways hosted our quarterly meeting with partners and organizations from across the community.
These meetings give us an opportunity to reconnect, share important updates, learn from one another, and strengthen the partnerships that make our work possible. We were especially grateful to hear from Loving Hands Ministry and learn more about the initiatives they are leading.

🚨 Free Smoke Alarm Installation Event 🚨
A working smoke alarm can make all the difference in an emergency. That's why Hope Pathways is proud to partner with the American Red Cross and Manatee River Rotary to provide FREE 10-year smoke alarm installations for Rubonia residents.

🕙 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
📍 Rubonia Community Center

Volunteers will meet with you and install free smoke alarms in your home while also sharing important fire safety and preparedness information.

Hope Pathways is proud to serve as an International Champion of Hope, standing alongside organizations around the world that believe hope is more than a feeling—it's the catalyst for transformation. Every day, we see hope come alive through neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers giving their time, and families discovering new possibilities for their future.

Today, we're also excited to introduce our newest Story of Hope: the Dunbar Docustitial.

This true-life story highlights what happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Through the partnership of Hope Pathways, World Renew, skilled volunteers, and generous supporters, a home became more than a construction project—it became a symbol of dignity, restoration, and hope renewed.

Community is at its best when neighbors come together to support one another.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible partners who joined us as we celebrated the resilience of our community and the power of collaboration.

We were honored to recognize the American Red Cross for their unwavering support of disaster survivors and to hear from Lasting Manatee about new funding opportunities that will help even more families recover and rebuild.

We're also deeply grateful for the partnership of Bay Area Legal Services and Catholic Charities USA, whose commitment continues to make a meaningful difference for those facing some of life's toughest challenges.

More than 15 partners joined online as well!

One of the most powerful moments of the day came when a survivor took time away from work to share her personal story. Hearing how Hope Pathways' home repairs transformed not only her house but also her family's future was a moving reminder of why this work matters.

🎉 Hope Pathways was proud to join community leaders for the ribbon cutting of The Nest!
Our President, Christina Gerken, attended on behalf of Hope Pathways to celebrate this exciting new workforce housing development designed for individuals and families earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI).
The event brought together local leaders, including Gene Brown, county commissioners, and Mike Rahn, all united in support of expanding affordable housing opportunities in our community.
For those living at or near the poverty threshold, affordable housing can be life-changing. The Nest is more than a housing project—it is a pathway to stability, dignity, and opportunity.
We celebrate this important milestone and applaud everyone who helped make it possible. Together, we are building stronger communities and creating hope for the future.

We were proud to attend the grand opening celebration of One Stop Housing’s newest workforce housing community!

This development brings 182 affordable apartments to the region, with 100% of units serving households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Projects like this are vital to ensuring that working individuals and families have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Events like these remind us what can happen when nonprofits, local leaders, businesses, and community organizations come together around a shared mission.

Hope Pathways is grateful to partner with organizations like One Stop Housing and First 1000 Days Suncoast that are working every day to strengthen our communities and create opportunities for families to thrive.
