Today, our team delivered donuts from Detwiler’s Farm Market to local first responders as a small way to thank them for their service and dedication to our community. ❤️🚒🚓

National Donut Day was established in 1938 to honor The Salvation Army’s Donut Lassies, who served donuts and provided comfort to soldiers on the front lines during World War I.

Last week, we had the opportunity to participate in a Hurricane Expo hosted by two Community Emergency Response Teams right here in Bradenton -Trailer Estates and Glenn Lakes.

We connected with residents and shared helpful tips on preparing for the upcoming hurricane season, as well as how The Salvation Army supports our community after a disaster by providing help, hope, and essential resources.

Thank you to both Trailer Estates and Glenn Lakes for hosting this important event and helping strengthen our community’s preparedness!
