More from the Forum on Climate, Conservation & Wellbeing -

Dr. Shane Doyle of the Apsáalooke nation and of The Nature Conservancy shares his experience being an expert witness and having two children serve as plaintiffs in the historic Held v Montana youth climate action cases.

It was intense, even if the kids won! The Montana Supreme Court upheld the trial court (after a three week trial) decision that the state’s failure to enact a clean energy plan violated the Montana Constitution’s right to a “clean and healthful environment.”

Dr. Doyle also shares his eco-anxiety and how it is a balance to process the emotions and to move toward hopeful collective and individual action.
