As part of Community Helpers Month, Rising Stars welcomed Nurse Paul for a special visit! Students explored healthy habits, learned about the important work nurses do, and even got to listen to their own heartbeats! 🫀✨

🚛💚 Community Helpers Month continues at Rising Stars! We were excited to welcome Republic Services for a special visit to learn all about the important role sanitation workers play in keeping our community clean, safe, and healthy!

Rising Stars students discovered how these everyday heroes help take care of our neighborhoods, and one classroom even made thank-you cards to show their appreciation!

Originally from Brandon, South Dakota, Megan is a senior at MSU studying Community Health with a minor in Human Development & Family Sciences. She’ll graduate this December and hopes to pursue a Master’s in Public Health, continuing her passion for learning and helping others.

Megan was drawn to Family Promise of Gallatin Valley by our mission to support and empower families in our community. This fall, she’ll be helping across several areas, from Development and Rising Stars to even staffing the front desk! We’re so grateful to have her on the team and appreciate the kindness and enthusiasm she brings to our work.⭐

Outside of school and her internship, Megan loves spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and getting creative with painting, nail art, scrapbooking, and all things arts and crafts! 🎨

🚓⭐ Community Helpers Month is underway at Rising Stars!

We kicked off October with a special visit from members of the Bozeman Police Department! Students learned what to do in an emergency, how and when to call the police, and got to ask all kinds of great questions about being a community helper.

The visit ended with a student favorite, checking out the patrol cars and seeing those bright lights up close! 🚔✨

A huge thank you to the Bozeman Police Department for spending time with students and helping kick off Community Helpers Month at Rising Stars!
