On the Road with Joy: Connecting with Our Partners Across Montana!

One of the best parts of our work at the Gianforte Family Foundation is getting to see firsthand the difference our nonprofit partners are making in their communities!

This month, Joy traveled through Helena, Clancy, Butte, and Dillon, connecting with organizations that are strengthening families, supporting individuals through difficult circumstances, and bringing hope to communities across Montana.

During her travels, Joy had the opportunity to visit with several of our incredible partners:

These visits are about more than touring facilities and learning about programs. They're opportunities to strengthen relationships, hear stories, better understand the challenges our partners face, and celebrate the incredible work happening throughout our state.

While we didn't capture photos at every stop, each conversation was a valuable reminder of the dedication and compassion of the people serving Montana's communities.

We're grateful for each of these organizations and the opportunity to partner with them in making a lasting difference across Montana!

Even in life's most difficult circumstances, there is hope in a good and faithful Father.

In Kalispell, Montana, Refuge Ministries is walking alongside women experiencing abusive marriages, offering biblical encouragement, practical support, and a community of people who care.

More than 350 women have found support through this ministry, which began at Faith Covenant Church.

We're grateful to partner with organizations like Refuge Ministries that are helping women rediscover hope, dignity, and the truth that they are not alone.

What happens when a church focuses on meeting the needs of its community without expecting anything in return?

At Hardin New Life Church, that approach has helped transform not just the church but also Hardin and the surrounding communities.

Through parenting classes, financial literacy training, marriage enrichment, addiction recovery support, and more, Hardin New Life has built an ecosystem of ministry that equips families with practical tools and lasting relationships.

But as Pastor Ryan Schoppe shares, while the church has grown tremendously, church growth was never the goal. The goal was simply to love and serve people.

We're grateful to partner with Hardin New Life Church and share an approach to community outreach that other churches can learn from and adapt.

Can a parenting class really change a family's life?

For one family struggling with their child's serious video game addiction, the answer was yes.

Through a parenting class, they found the tools and support to address a difficult situation and see an incredible turnaround.

It's just one example of how helping parents can make a lasting difference for children and families.

A place of refuge. A community of support. A renewed sense of hope.

In Kalispell, Refuge Ministries is helping women experiencing abusive marriages find safety, encouragement, and hope through faith-based support and meaningful relationships.

Over the years, Refuge has walked alongside more than 350 women, providing biblical teaching, personal mentorship, and a supportive community during some of life's most difficult circumstances.

Today, seven dedicated mentors are supporting 32 women, helping them navigate difficult decisions, rebuild confidence, and discover a path forward.

We're grateful to partner with Refuge Ministries as they work to bring healing and hope to women and families. And with opportunities to bring this ministry to additional churches and communities, their impact has the potential to reach even further.

Exciting news for one of our Montana partners!

Congratulations to Mountain Shadow Association in Lodge Grass, Montana, on being selected as one of just 10 finalists nationwide from more than 500 applicants for Capital One's $25 million Scaling Pathways to Homeownership initiative!

Through its work with Kaala's Village on the Crow Reservation, Mountain Shadow Association is developing an innovative approach to helping Native families build stability and achieve homeownership. Their model combines recovery support, paid construction training, financial education, and hands-on homebuilding to help families build both their own homes and brighter futures.

We're proud to partner with organizations like Mountain Shadow Association that are finding creative, community-driven solutions to help Montana families flourish.

We're proud to partner with Love INC of Yellowstone County, where local churches and volunteers are coming together to help individuals and families build brighter futures.

From transformational classes and practical life skills to an innovative Earn & Learn program that helps families access essential household items, Love INC is making a meaningful difference in Yellowstone County.

This summer alone, 50 people participated in their new workshop series, with volunteers representing an average of 14 local churches each Monday evening!
