A reminder for everyone that our October Rough Riders meeting will be held on October 13th at 6:00pm at the Warren County Extension Office. Our meeting is a week later this month due to Fall Break.

That night we’ll elect our Club Officers for the new year and our very own Janet Turley will spend some time with us to talk about all things Horse Safety!

Also, a reminder that Kentucky 4-H enrollment is going digital this year! 💻🍀

Our October Rough Riders Ride Night will be on Monday at the WKU Ag Expo Center. This will be an open ride night, there will not be an instructor. If you have any questions, please reach out to Becca Bouldin at 270-991-4426. Also, if you could let her know that you’ll be attending so she can have an idea of how many to expect that would be great.

PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE ARENA OR BEGIN RIDING BEFORE BECCA IS THERE TO OPEN UP. In addition, a parent or guardian should be present with their Rough Rider during Ride Night.

Just a reminder for Ride Night requirements:
• Be an enrolled member of the Rough Riders Club.
• Negative Coggins is required for all horses (If you haven't already, please bring your Coggins and show it to Becca when you arrive or text them to her beforehand @ 270-991-4426).
• Closed toed shoes with a heel
• Approved helmet
• Make sure you leave the facility the way you found it or better – pick up all trash, clean up after your horse in the parking lot (remember…if your horse poops it…then you scoop it). See less

• For Ride Nights held at the Anderson Arena you must Complete a WKU Liability Form – link below to the online Liability form. You only have to complete this form one time for the year.

For the date and time, please enter the date of the ride night. You do not need to complete the Payment Section and required Insurance Certificate. In addition, please bring your Coggins with you to Ride Night or text them to Becca @ 270-991-4426. Please do not email them to WKU.

• Approved helmet: The Kentucky 4-H Horse Program REQUIRES all 4-H’ers to wear protective headgear passing or surpassing current applicable ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards.
