Military Connected Students of WKU Student veteran organization at Western Kentucky University supporting student veterans and families.

Our mission is to provide military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education and following graduation. We strive to create a positive atmosphere through academic support, professional, and social programs. SVA provides direct assistance to veterans through peer to peer support with the Vet to Vet Sponsorship Program, networking opportunities at our an

On behalf of the WKU Military Connected Students, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported yesterday’s silent auction. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Thanks to the generosity of our community, families, friends, businesses, and organizations, we were able to successfully raise funds to support our chapter for the upcoming year. These contributions will directly benefit our student veterans and military-connected families as they pursue their college education and future goals.

We would also like to give a special thank you to all of the companies, organizations, donors, and attendees who helped make this event such a success. Your support, generosity, and encouragement truly mean so much to our chapter, and we hope everyone had a wonderful time!🎊

Our Military Connected Students of WKU will be hosting a Spring Festival today on South Lawn from 5:30-7:30!!!🇺🇸

Swing by to play corn hole, get your face painted, play in the bounce house, or grab a bite at Que Pasa! 🌮🎨

Want to show your support? Our organization will also be holding a silent auction during the event, and all proceeds will go directly to the organization.💲

‼️ATTENTION HILLTOPPERS‼️

We will be fundraising for our organization Military Connected Students, with a bake sale. We will have a table in DSU today, Monday the 23rd, and tomorrow, the 24th from 10:30am-3pm.

Our items are decently priced, and we accept donations as well! All proceeds will directly support the Military Connected Students chapter, supporting our veterans, families, and more.

☀️Good morning, and happy first day of spring semester!
We hope everyone had an amazing winter break.☀️

During winter break, our SVA Chapter officers had the amazing opportunity to travel to Colorado Springs to attend the 18th annual Student Veterans of America National Conference!

During this conference, our student vets had the pleasure of seeing a variety of speakers and seasons, including hearing from previous Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, Joanne Bass, and two different medal of honor recipients! 💙

We also had the chance to meet several new people, including military tiktok legend !

Last but not least, our officers had an amazing time at the annual student veterans ball, representing with pride with our red towels, and snazzy dress clothes!

Our members had a great learning experience, and branched out to many different universities, employers, and of course, other student veterans, while also getting the chance to enjoy some Colorado snow❄️☃️

We would like to thank for the amazing opportunity, and great experience, as well as our gratitude for their efforts.

Big shoutout to one of our greatest assets and colleagues, Emily Marshall. She and her WKU VA team are always aiding and helping to make a veteran's journey at WKU easier and more accessible. We wanted to give Emily the "Certificate of Bureaucratic Warfare" because she consistently helps our veterans and service members with their VA and TA benefits, among other areas of support. She also shows a great deal of dedication to SVA. We are very fortunate to have her on our team!

🇺🇸What a great way to wrap up the semester!🇺🇸

Last night, members of our chapter came together for our end-of-semester banquet, enjoying an evening filled with good food, fun, and fellowship. Events like these remind us why this community is so special, bringing student veterans and supporters together to celebrate our accomplishments and strengthen the bonds that carry us forward.

A heartfelt thank-you to The Mustang Club of Bowling Green for hosting us and providing an incredible meal and atmosphere. Your support of our student veteran community means so much, and we’re grateful for your partnership.

The WKU Student Veterans Alliance honors those who have served and are proudly serving in the United States Armed Forces. Today is a day to remember the sacrifices of those military members, and to thank them for answering our nations call to serve.

To our student veterans, active-duty members, reservists, and military families, we thank you. Your service and resilience enrich our campus and inspire us every day.
