SOKY Alliance BG Teen is an opportunity for teens to socialize in a safe, fun, inclusive & supportive space. You belong here!

SOKY Alliance fosters community, builds support, and promotes advocacy for our local LGBTQ+ community through programming, educational opportunities, and resource connections. Each meeting will be a time for teens to be themselves, meet others and just have some fun. BG Teen is open to all high school teens regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientat

ion, national origin, genetics, disability, etc, etc, etc. And while we're at it, we'll use this page to promote other local opportunities for teen involvement.

🌈 We hope to see you this Saturday for our Pride Month Open House & Social event! We've got some exciting new programming coming up, and this will be the first look 👀

Come anytime between noon and 2pm to see what we're up to, have some refreshments, and hang out!

1106 State St., Enter through the main entrance on the big parking lot side at the covered drive-thru.

🌞We're having a BG Teen Pride Month meetup from 2-4pm this Saturday!

We'll meet at Circus Square Park at 2pm ... we'll be stationed somewhere around that pink blob in the picture with a wagon of games. The splash pad should be open, so wear water friendly clothes if you want to splash ... and don't forget the sunscreen!

At about 3pm we'll walk to Meltdown for ice cream - one scoop provided by us for the teens!

We'll walk back down to Circus Square where the adults can pick up your teens.

BG Teen is for LGBTQ+ middle and high schoolers, and allies are always welcome too! No signups necessary.

In place of our picnic this year, we hope you'll come out for our Open House & Social! We'll be here to talk about what we're doing, what you might like to plug into, some new programming on the horizon, and bonus - there is air conditioning and refreshments!

Next weekend is the 4th annual Pride Month Worship Service in collaboration with First Christian Church (DOC) Bowling Green KY at 4pm Sunday, June 14.

Rev. Linnea Blakemore will be preaching, and this non-traditional service will feature interactive reflection stations. This year there will also be a potluck immediately following the service, so bring a side or dessert to share.

Whether you're a person of faith or not, everyone is welcome to join in this open & affirming space for a service of affirmation and celebration.

The service and potluck will be in the the newly renovated Carter Hall, 1106 State St.

CenterLink is honored to be part of the inaugural Elton John Impact Awards alongside organizations and changemakers working to build a more inclusive future for LGBTQ+ communities - like SOKY Alliance!

Support from the Elton John Impact Awards, , and The Looking Out Foundation helps CenterLink strengthen and support more than 375 LGBTQ community centers and organizations nationwide – expanding access to mental health support, youth programs, health services, advocacy, and safe spaces for connection and belonging.

See you Saturday! 🍿

Join SOKY Alliance at the Capitol this Saturday, June 6 for two free movie screenings! At 5 p.m. (rated PG), an unpopular but optimistic high-school teen in early 1960s Baltimore gets onto a local dance program, which she eventually integrates, causing a scandal in the whole city. At 7 p.m. (rated R), a gay couple, played by Nathan Lane and Robin Williams, is challenged to play it straight when their son brings home his fiancée -- the daughter of an ultraconservative senator played by Gene Hackman! Both screenings are free and no tickets are required!
