Two of our Bowling Green Kiwanians recently attended the Relay for Life event, bringing a personal connection to a cause that has touched so many lives.

Their presence is a reminder of the strength, courage, and hope found within the survivor community. We are proud to have members who not only serve others through Kiwanis but also inspire those around them through their own journeys.

Together, we celebrate survivors, remember those we have lost, and continue to support the fight against cancer. 💜🎗️

The Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green is proud to celebrate the chartering of The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science’s Key Club!

Key Club is a student-led organization that gives young leaders the opportunity to serve their community, develop leadership skills, and make a difference—and we are excited to welcome Gatton Academy students into the Kiwanis family.

We look forward to supporting these outstanding students as they begin this new chapter of service and leadership. We can’t wait to see the impact they will make in our community!

We’re taking a moment to recognize Rod Hutcheson and thank him for his leadership and service as President of the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green.

Serving as president takes time, commitment and a willingness to put the needs of the club and our community first. Rod gave all three — helping guide our club, support our members and keep our focus on the children and families we serve.

We are grateful for the time and energy Rod invested in Kiwanis and for the foundation he helped build for those who followed.

Thank you, Rod, for your leadership, your service and your continued commitment to the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green!

🏆 2026 Kiwanian of the Year

Congratulations to Brian Bodenhamer, our 2026 Kiwanian of the Year!

Brian joined our club with a lifetime of service already behind him and quickly found new ways to continue that service through Kiwanis.

This year, he stepped up to lead our Soap Box Derby, helping make it one of our most successful years in recent memory. He also helped strengthen sponsorship support and create a terrific experience for the children and families who participated.

We are grateful that Brian is continuing that commitment to service as he takes on the role of club treasurer.

Congratulations, Brian, and thank you for all you do for Kiwanis and our community!

Some people don’t simply serve Kiwanis — they become part of its history.

We are honored to recognize Lisa Rice as the recipient of the 2026 Governor Don Ritter Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lisa’s service has extended across our club, foundation, district and international organization. Her lifetime of dedication reflects the kind of continued leadership and service this award represents.

Her impact on Kiwanis and our community is lasting — and perhaps no better evidence of that impact exists than the fact that she is the only person in the room with a building bearing her name.

Congratulations, Lisa, and thank you for a lifetime of service!
