Celebrating our Education Support Professionals

World ESP Day was on Saturday but we think every day is a good day to recognize the work of our Education Support Professionals like Federal Way's Brenda Bargelt. Our paraeducators, nurses, food service workers, maintenance and janitorial staff, bus drivers, clerical, technical, skilled trades and security personnel ensure safe and supportive learning conditions for students. Bargelt, WEA's 2026 ESP of the Year, is a data secretary at Career Academy and Federal Way Open Doors at Truman, an alternative-education campus. Take a look into Bargelt's school day for a glimpse of the incredible work of our ESPs.
