Community driven environmental education, stewardship, and conservation in a 64 acre urban mature forest in Bothell, WA.

Friends is non-profit organization comprised of neighbors, community leaders and educators who seek to protect and steward North Creek Forest for present and future generations. North Creek Forest consists of 64 acres of undeveloped mature coniferous forest with multiple wetlands and streams and is located one mile northeast of downtown Bothell.

Hi FNCF Supporters! We hope you had a great holiday weekend! We would like to invite you to please join us this Saturday, May 30th, at Pollinator Fest in Woodinville from 10am-3pm! There will be lots of great organizations that will have booths and fun activities to celebrate the pollinators of the Sammamish Valley. All are welcome at this free, family-friendly event. Hope to see you there!

Thank you so much to our generous community for giving BIG this year!!! We very much appreciate your support! Your donations will be used to continue our stewardship and education programs and to purchase much needed supplies for our future events. To see your gifts in action, please join us at our next Volunteer Stewardship Work Party on May 16th from 10am-1pm! Or come by to say hello at our FNCF Neighborhood Meet-n-Greet on June 6th from 10am-2pm. We look forward to seeing you all at North Creek Forest soon!

The GiveBIG Power Hour is officially on!!! Good morning, FNCF Community! We hope you had a great weekend and have been enjoying the nice weather in our area! In case you’re not aware, GiveBIG 2026 is tomorrow! It’s one of the largest giving campaigns of the year and raised $9.3 million for 1,300+ non-profit organizations across Washington State last year. This year’s theme is “It’s Up to Us!” It conveys the necessity of community-based, grassroots solutions to addressing our most pressing challenges. We're in a time when traditional revenue streams (government funding, corporate/foundation grants, earned income, etc.) aren't as dependable as they once were. Therefore, it's up to all of us to create the change we want to see in the world. We hope you will consider making a donation to FNCF this year! Happy Earth Day, FNCF Fam!!! We had an excellent turnout for our Earth Day Stewardship Work Party this past Saturday! Almost 40 members of the community showed up to transport mulch for trail maintenance and to battle invasive blackberries. If you’re reflecting today on the state of the world and wanting to get more involved, we try to host public volunteer events every month. The next two work parties are scheduled for May 16th and June 13th from 10am to 1pm. We had a great turnout for our MLK Day of Service Volunteer Stewardship Work Party last week!!! Almost thirty volunteers (children and adults) battled the invasive blackberries that were taking over a portion of the forest close to one of the trails. Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and showed up for a day on, not a day off! We were so excited to get started that we forgot to take a “before” photo. Oops! Here is the “after” photo with all of the blackberries cleared out, leaving existing native plants and open space for new ones to grow. Would you like to battle some blackberries? Our next Volunteer Stewardship Work Party is on Saturday, February 7th, at 10am. Please register via the link below. And please remind us to take a “before” photo when you arrive:).
