This year's conference will feature a special dad's panel and a compelling keynote from Jeremy Kredlo on Fierce Advocacy, encouraging attendees to embrace their unique role as advocates and champions for their children and loved ones. Participants will gain practical tools, hear powerful personal stories, and connect with other male caregivers navigating similar journeys.

😍All SPARC Families are invited to the FREE Sensory Explorations at the Children's Museum of Skagit County tomorrow (10/8/2026) from 4:30-6:00. Late arrivals are always welcome!
🤩FREE admission for families whose child (ages 1-12) has sensory sensitivities.

What a great night! Our 10th anniversary bash was a hit and our dads enjoyed some quality time together well past 10pm, when we usually turn into pumpkins. I (Sean) want to personally thank Parkway Tavern for always making us feel welcomed in your space and for being such a Tacoma staple over all these years.

Here’s to the next 10 years of the in Tacoma!

Upcoming event opportunity NEXT week, October 6th and 7th! 🧡

The National Disability Caregivers Conference is a free 2-day virtual event for families, advocates & professionals.

This free, virtual conference will bring together caregivers, self-advocates, and experts for two days of connection, resources, and information on topics including Supported Decision-Making, ABLE accounts, navigating disability services, and public benefits.

The conference is co-presented by The Arc of California and Caring Across Generations. Register for free using the link below and learn more about the sessions and presenters.

The webinar will be held virtually on October 6 and 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each day.

Would you like to help start an Autism Society of Washington Coffee Club or local chapter?

We’ve had some interest come in through email, and now we need local people to connect with each other and help get things going!

We’ve had emails this week from:

Cowlitz County
Yakima County
Camas/Vancouver area

But we need YOU!

Local representation is so important to us. We want Autistic voices to be heard across Washington, and we want Autistic people to have opportunities to make meaningful connections right in their own hometowns and counties.

The people who live in an area know it best. Local volunteers can help us understand what their county or area needs, what resources are already available, and what kinds of connections and activities would be meaningful to the people who live there.

You don’t have to have everything figured out. We just need a few local people who are interested in connecting, building relationships, and helping get a Coffee Club or chapter started. ASW can help support you through the process.

You can help create community right where you live, building connections and opportunities for Autistic people to feel supported, welcomed, and connected in their own hometown or county.

If you’re in one of these areas, or anywhere else in Washington, we’d love to hear from you!

Looking for a fun, educational activity right after school? Join Thurston County Inclusion for a special collaboration with Stream Team at Tumwater Falls Hatchery!

Youth ages 5–22 with and without disabilities are invited to explore the falls and hatchery while learning all about the incredible journey of salmon. Stream Team will share fun and informative facts, guide our group throughout the hatchery and surrounding area, and help us discover more about these amazing local fish.

TCI will also provide fun, hands-on crafts and accessible activities to make the day even more engaging!

This event is a great opportunity for homeschool families, youth with flexible school schedules, or anyone looking for a fun educational experience outside the classroom.
