Founded in 2015, we have raised over $50,000 for children's hospitals and cancer research. 'Busting for charity makes us feel GOOD! The Massachusetts Ghostbusters was formed in the Spring of 2015 when former member of the New England Ghostbusters, David Silva wanted to revive a local Ghostbusters group and raise money for charities. Soon after more members started to join and events were attended

in an official capacity with money being raised under our motto “Busting for charity makes us feel good”. The Massachusetts Ghostbusters have raised over $40,000 for various charities since being formed. We have worked with Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, MA, Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, Boys and Girls Club of Manchester New Hampshire, and the For the Win Project out of Los Angeles, CA. The group has attended many events since being formed to include major comic cons like Fan Expo Boston and Rhode Island Comic Con to exclusive events like Lyft/Ghostbusters promotion in Boston and the 2016 World Premiere of Ghostbuster: Answer the Call. Each event we try to bring smiles to all attendees via photo ops, props and interactive experiences. The Massachusetts Ghostbusters is an officially recognized Ghostbusters Fan Franchise through the Sony production company, Ghost Corps (holder of the Ghostbusters franchise license rights). Todd Zavorskas of Team Zombie Leader has thirty-one years of fundraising experience totally over $413,545 to date for both national and regional charities. He was named a New England Patriots 2022 Myra Kraft Community MVP via the New England Patriots Foundation.

Team Zombie Leader has already raised nearly $123,290 for pancreatic cancer research and is now continuing this cause with Project Purple in Memory of his Mother, Lorraine. (She passed away from Stage IV pancreatic cancer.)

Todd specializes in fundraising in unconventional ways. He believes in Cosplay in the Community and has been a pillar of the New England cosplay scene-fundraising year-round at comic cons/events. Todd, with the help of dozens of volunteers including Massachusetts Ghostbusters, Cares O-lot Confections, Horror Depot, The Simpsons Couch of RI and dozens more, expects to collect over 40K for Project Purple in 2026! With the help of our good friends, Massachusetts Ghostbusters, we are thrilled to announce a FAN EXPO Boston RECORD $5,543+ was raised for Project Purple this past weekend in Boston, MA. Thank you to all who donated. Much love to all the volunteers who brought The Shire to life and the Slime Lab.

To date, Team Zombie Leader has raised over $425,599 for national and local charities. This includes over $123,578 for pancreatic cancer research in Honor of my Mother, Lorraine. (She passed away from Stage IV pancreatic cancer). With the help of my team & MAGB, we WILL break our revised goal of 40K by year’s end for Project Purple.
