'Foster Care Alumni' are people who can answer 'yes' to the following questions:

Are you 18 - 108? Did you experience 'foster care' for any period of time in any US state or country in the world? NOTE: 'Foster Care' means a government or a social service agency removes a person from the care of their biological parents of origin and places them in a variety of settings which can include foster ho

mes, group care and kinship care (aka other family members). Foster care alumni may also have been reunified (aka return home), be guardianed or adopted following time in foster care or continue with DCF after the age of 18.

✨ Kintsugi: where cracks become gold ✨

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold — instead of hiding the break, it traces it in shimmering gold, so the place a piece came apart becomes the place it's most beautiful.

Join us for a hands-on evening of mending, with quiet moments to reflect. No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to slow down.

Let’s cook together! 👩‍🍳✨

Join us for a virtual cooking social on Friday, September 25th from 6–8 PM ET! We’ll cook a recipe together step-by-step, share some good food, and spend time connecting with fellow alumni of foster care and out-of-home placement. Allies are welcome, too!

Alumni who register by September 13th can receive a FREE meal kit mailed to their household, with ingredients for:

-BBQ Chicken Pasta
-Pasta Primavera
-Couscous with Roasted Vegetables & Feta

Meal kits are limited to one per household and available to alumni only. If you’re an ally or registering after September 13th, you’re still invited to join and cook with your own ingredients!

Recipes can be adapted to be vegan/vegetarian, and we’ll work with alumni who have food allergies to find other options.

💐 ANNUAL FLOWER ARRANGEMENT WORKSHOP 💐

We’re heading back to Land’s Sake Farm on July 15th for our annual flower arrangement workshop! Pick your own flowers from the farm, and learn how to arrange them beautifully! We’ll also have delicious snacks, and a special gift from the farm for everyone who attends.

This year, we’re excited to offer free professional headshots to alumni of foster care/ “out-of-home” care!

Please indicate if you’d like a headshot on your Eventbrite registration (headshots will happen at 5 PM).
