Disability Pride Month is a powerful reminder that people with disabilities are not just present in our communities, they belong, fully and without condition.
This month challenges us to confront ableism and uplift those actively shaping a world where access, equity, and dignity are non-negotiable. Whether visible or invisible, temporary or permanent, disability is a natural part of the human experience and the fight for inclusion must be as relentless as it is compassionate.
As part of this year’s celebration, join us for ADA35 Boston as we commemorate 35 years since the passing of the ADA, a civil rights law that transformed the lives of millions by affirming that access is a right, not a privilege.
But the work isn’t over. Barriers still exist. This milestone is both a celebration and a rallying call to keep pushing for an inclusive world.
Location: City Hall Plaza to Boston Common
Date: Wednesday, July 23rd
Time: Flag Raising begins at 12pm. March begins at 12:30pm and Rally at The Embrace begins at 1pm.
Let’s celebrate Disability Pride by listening, learning, advocating and showing up. Disability rights are civil rights.
