Freedom House is a community-based, social action non-profit organization located at 5 Crawford St

Freedom House has a rich history of addressing social justice issues such as poverty, access to a quality education and racial discrimination in Boston's inner city neighborhoods since its founding. Freedom House has provided leadership, continuity and results for 63 years as it strives to open the doors of opportunity to all – regardless of race, class, and gender – through educational programming, civic engagement, and community resources.

Today, we celebrate someone who brings so much talent, creativity, passion, and heart to the work we do at Freedom House!

Nicola plays an incredible role in keeping the mission and impact of Freedom House visible, not just within our community, but across the Commonwealth and throughout the nation. Through her creativity and dedication, she helps tell our story and ensures that the voices and accomplishments of our scholars continue to be seen and heard.

But Nicola’s impact goes far beyond her work in digital marketing and branding. She is an amazing mentor, a trusted voice, and someone many of our scholars affectionately consider their big sister. That speaks volumes about the relationships she has built and the difference she continues to make.

On behalf of our Freedom House scholars, staff, families, and the entire Freedom House community, we wish you a wonderful birthday, Nicola!

Our Freedom House scholars in red and our Eversource volunteers in orange, standing together on the steps of our Grove Hall home. Nobody on these steps got here overnight. It’s daily showing up, daily learning, and daily support from people who believe in our young people.

Our scholars are putting in the work, and our partners are right there with them, every step of the way. Today is one more day to get better. Lock in, stay focused, and win this one.
