We believe in fate around here, and for whatever reason, Gully’s first and second potential adoptions both fell through. Maybe he just hasn’t met the person he’s supposed to end up with yet. 🥹🐾

Gully is nearing 12 weeks old, so he is still very much a puppy with lots to learn. He’s such a sweet boy who loves everyone he meets and every dog he meets. He’s currently in a foster home with another dog and teens, sleeps in a kennel at night, loves his walks, and is working on house training. He definitely still needs some help there, but he’s making progress every day.

He’s also VERY treat motivated, so we have a feeling training with this guy could go pretty well as long as snacks are part of the deal. 😂

It’s hard not to feel a little sad for him when we thought twice that his home might be right around the corner. But sometimes things fall through for a reason, and we’re really hoping that reason is because the right person still needs to find him.

Happy National Dog Day 🥹🐾

There is something so special about the love of a dog.

I wake up every morning to the happiest greeting, and every time I come home, I am met with the same excitement and love, no matter what kind of day it has been.

They ask for so little and somehow give so much. Comfort, loyalty, companionship, and the kind of unconditional love that is hard to put into words.

Of course they got some Frosty Paws today to celebrate. ❤️

Happy National Dog Day to all of the sweetest souls out there who make life feel a little softer, a little fuller, and a whole lot more loved.

Check out Locke, one of our incoming pups. Someone make his wish come true by either fostering or adopting him. This lone boy was saved, and his new life is just one hero away!

One of the amazing local fitness trainers from Vibe Hot Yoga and Pilates , Becky, is putting on very special blood drive in honor of her daughter, Olivia. ❤️

Blood donation is one of those things that can feel so simple, but the impact is huge. A single donation can help patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, serious illnesses, injuries, and so many children and families who depend on donated blood during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

If you are able to donate, this is such a meaningful way to show up for Olivia, for Boston Children’s Hospital, and for families who truly need it.

Yesterday was such an amazing day. We are still blown away by how many people came out, loved on our dogs, supported the rescue, and helped make the event what it was. ❤️🐾

There was just one part of the day that honestly broke our hearts a little.

Out of all of our dogs, Gumdrop was the only one who left with zero applications.

And we really don’t get it.

She loved everybody. She was curious, sweet, social, well-behaved, and so happy to meet people all afternoon. Everyone wanted to stop and say hi to her, everyone seemed to love her, and somehow she still hasn’t found her person.

So we’re asking for a little help getting her out there. Please share Gumdrop. Maybe her person just hasn’t seen her yet.

Gumdrop is about 14 weeks old and around 10 pounds. She is fully potty trained, sleeps great in her kennel, is very well socialized, and has been around dogs, cats, and kids. She is playful, affectionate, curious, and just an all-around awesome puppy.

Yes, she is deaf, but that is such a small part of who she is. She sleeps incredibly soundly, doesn’t react to all the normal household noises, and is already learning how to check in and communicate in other ways. She doesn’t need anyone to feel bad for her or make excuses for her. She just needs someone to see what we see.

She really is just such an awesome little dog. We know her people are out there, we just need to help them find her.

Today was unreal. 💙🐾

We are honestly still trying to wrap our heads around the amount of love that showed up for Big Wave today.

The number of raffles donated by supporters, local businesses, and small businesses absolutely blew us away. So many people contributed something to help make today special, and seeing it all come together was incredible.

A HUGE thank you to Mark Goslin for having this idea in the first place and putting it all together for us. And to Amy, Michelle, and the entire Navigation Brewing Co. team for taking the reins, collecting and organizing raffle donations, running things today, and helping turn this into such a successful event. There was so much work happening behind the scenes, and we are beyond grateful.

To every supporter near and far who showed up, shared our posts, donated, bought raffles, stopped by to say hi, or contributed in any way… THANK YOU. ❤️

We had alumni come back to visit, got to see so many familiar faces, met new supporters, and best of all, some very sweet pups found their people today. 🥹

We felt the love in so, so many big ways today.

Days like this are such a reminder that Big Wave is so much bigger than just the people running the rescue. It’s this entire community of people who continue to show up for these dogs again and again.

And I KNOW I’m missing people because there were just so many of you who helped make today happen. 💙 Please tag anyone below who donated, helped, showed up, or supported this event so we can make sure they get the thank you they deserve!

💙 GULLY IS LOOKING FOR HIS FAMILY! 💙

This tiny guy is about 10 weeks old and under 7 lbs, but he has plenty of personality packed into that little body. 😂🐾

Gully is spunky, smart, social, and loves the kids in his foster home. He’s playful, affectionate, and seems happiest hanging out wherever his people are.

Gully and his sister Fern were rescued after being dumped in a ravine in Mississippi. Their other sibling sadly didn’t make it, so seeing these two safe, happy, and thriving now means even more. 🥹

We expect Gully will likely grow into a medium-sized dog, but as always with our mystery mixes, that’s our best guess!
