Bossier KIDS, Inc. is a non-profit, faith-based foster care agency located in northwest Louisiana.

If vulnerable children and families are important to God, then they should be important to us as followers of Christ.

Whether or not we feel called to foster or adopt, we have a part to play. Foster parents need support. Children in foster care need support. Biological families working toward healing need support.

When a child grows up without love or security, they will try to find love and acceptance in other places: significant others, peers, substances, extracurriculars.

Every child deserves to grow up in an environment where they know they are loved. Love is foundational.

Where do children in foster care go when there aren't enough homes?

Government offices.
Group homes.
Hotels.
Jail cells.

Removed from home only to find there isn't a place for them.

Choosing to show up, whether by donating to organizations supporting foster children and families, meeting practical needs, volunteering through respite care, or fostering and adopting, we all have a part to play to help children and families in crisis.

Trick-or-treating is just around the corner 🍬

For most, Halloween is a day of dress-up and treats, but it's important for foster parents to take some special considerations to make this time special and safe.

Just as not every person is called to foster, not every church is called to establish a foster care ministry.

But we are all called to care.

Every church can do something:
- Organize a Christmas toy drive for local foster families
- Develop a relationship with a local agency to offer support by meeting practical needs
- Establish connections with local foster families to help with babysitting, lawncare, meals, or transportation
- Start a foster care clothing closet for local families
- Create a donation drive for a local agency helping foster care families
